ABOUT the tech guy

Hi! I’m thrilled you’re here. My name is Andrew, and I’m in my 30s, living in Iowa. I have a strong background in IT, having worked in enterprise environments since 2015. Over the years, I’ve advanced to become an Azure Cloud Engineer.

My tech journey began in sales, where I recommended products tailored to customers’ needs. This experience helped me build strong client relationships and earn the top sales position in my region for 15 consecutive months.

Motivated to enhance my technical skills, I joined a local tech firm that served a diverse range of industries, from law firms and hospitals to agricultural businesses and other companies across Greater America.

This opportunity brought me to Cedar Rapids in 2015, where I joined a global financial services company.

I started on the helpdesk, handling tasks like password resets and basic computer troubleshooting, then moved on to server management. There, I refined my expertise with both Windows and Linux systems. It was in this role that I was introduced to cloud technology, which ultimately shaped the direction of my career.

Outside of work, I’m a husband and father. When I’m not working on computers, you can find me tackling house projects, riding my motorcycle, playing video games, watching football, playing guitar, or spending quality time with my family.
